Yoho National Park
The name says it all—"Yoho" is a Cree expression of awe and wonder. This aptly describes the towering rock walls, thundering waterfalls, and spectacular vertical landscapes that define Yoho National Park. Established in 1886 on the western slopes of the Canadian Rockies, it serves as a pristine sanctuary within this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Home to 28 peaks soaring over 3,000 meters, Yoho offers breathtaking encounters with nature at every turn. Marvel at the vivid, shifting turquoise waters of Emerald Lake, the park’s largest glacier-fed lake, or travel back 500 million years at the world-famous Burgess Shale. Here, amidst the fossils of the Cambrian Explosion, you will discover one of the most significant records of early life on Earth.
