Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. You will again see dramatic changes in scenery. Highlights included the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening.

- Thompson River Canyon: The journey begins by following the Thompson River through the B.C. Interior. The landscape here is often desert-like and arid, a stark contrast to the mountains, featuring steep, scrub-covered slopes and rock formations. This is a region famous for its ranchlands.
- Hell's Gate: This is the highlight of the day. The train passes through the Fraser Canyon, reaching Hell's Gate, the narrowest and deepest point of the Fraser River. You will see the immense power of the whitewater rapids that are forced through this gorge.
- Fraser Valley: After passing through the canyons, the landscape becomes much softer. The train descends into the lush, fertile green fields of the Fraser Valley, known for its agricultural land. This marks the transition back to the coastal environment as you near Vancouver.
