Vancouver — Whistler
Overview
Whistler, a representative tourist destination in Canada, is a year-round resort located in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia. It takes about a 2-hour scenic drive from Vancouver to reach this destination.
【Shannon Falls】
Shannon Falls Provincial Park is a popular and easily accessible nature reserve situated directly off the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway (Highway 99). As British Columbia's third-highest waterfall, it cascades a spectacular 335 meters (1,100 feet).
The powerful flow of the falls is sourced from the mountainous terrain of Mount Hubrich and Sky Pilot Mountain. This park offers fantastic amenities, including easy access to picnic areas, gentle walking trails leading to breathtaking viewpoints, and serves as the primary trailhead for the world-renowned climbing and hiking destination, Stawamus Chief Provincial Park. Shannon Falls is an essential stop on the journey between Vancouver and Whistler. (Approx. 30min. stop)
【Whistler Village】
Whistler Village, nestled in the majestic Coast Mountains of British Columbia (BC), is recognized as North America's premier year-round destination resort. Here, guests can indulge in a vast array of activities: embark on a scenic Peak-to-Peak journey for stunning 360-degree mountain views, or enjoy world-class hiking, mountain biking, and golfing. The Village is a highly praised pedestrian-friendly zone, home to over 90 restaurants and more than 200 unique and chic shops, making exploration effortless. Visitors can fully immerse themselves in the region's renowned hospitality and mountain resort experience, celebrating Whistler’s enduring friendship with its sister city, Japan Karuizawa. (Approx. 4hr. stop at Whistler Village & PEAK2PEAK Gondola)
【Optional$$ - PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola】
Opened in December 2008, the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola is a groundbreaking aerial lift connecting Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain, offering everyone easy access to breathtaking alpine sightseeing opportunities.
The gondola spans 4.4 kilometers and completes its stunning journey in just 11 minutes. It holds two world records: it is the world's longest unsupported lift span, stretching nearly 3 kilometers without a support tower; and it set the world record for the highest lift above the ground, reaching a height of 436 meters. Among the 28 cabins, two feature a special glass bottom, allowing thrill-seeking guests to enjoy a spectacular, dizzying view while traversing the valley below.
*PEAK2PEAK Gondola will be closed starting from September 22 - November 20, 2025. The access will not be possible during this time. A special arrangement will be made to take the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish instead.
